Catching UP!

No I haven't forgotten anything, haven't forgotten the English language or anything so drastic. I may be old, at the age where one's mind starts slipping gears and things fall by the wayside. But I always know where my loyalties lie. With my readers. All four of you!! And to that end here I am back at the library, racing through another script.

Now President Obama is going to close Guantanamo Bay and the other CIA prisons worldwide, as he said he would. Good. He's going to stick to the Army Field Manual in regards to torture. Good. All Good. He's going to push through his massive stimulus program. Excellent. He's going to increase the troops in Afganistan by 30,000 ?? WTF? The Afgani President Hamid Karzai, who we were instrumental in installing in office, is livid that we seem to be killing an enormous amount of women and children this week in raids that have left many dead. Even he doesn't want us there. Let's look at history. The Brits tried and failed to control the region, the Soviets and the the Russian's tried and failed, what makes the US think it can do better?? Damned if I know. Good luck with that. The US military should just start to desert.

Anyone catch the latest "Clean Coal" ads on Discovery?? They're using a clip from O's trail speech where he talks about it. Bad move O. That'll come back to bite ya. Anyone with a eighth grade education and a lick of common sense knows the technology does not yet exist, and even when it comes to being it may not achieve it's goal of capturing carbon emissions. The jury is out on whether piping carbon into the ground will work or worsen the problem. And that's 30 years off AT LEAST.
